Written for daughter Clare on her eighteenth birthday.

How it was written

Clare is heavily into musical theatre and so the song is written in the style of a musical.

It would make a lovely piece for a duet.

Not the usual

The song is in C and follows a fairly standard pattern but there is a bit of experimentation with the chord changes now and again. The verse, for example, has a C-Eb-G chord change instead of the usual C-F-G progression.
